Fun Strath Day

Yay for seeing Drama and yay for seeing Janna :) That about sums it up. We were a little afraid that Rob's car was going to die on us on the way in (soon! SO soon we're getting him a new car! Can't wait!!) but we made it to Strath just in time. The production was excellent, I loved the scene with all the colorful hippie costumes, and that "Those Canan Days" song-my two favorite parts. I desperately wish I could have been in this play! All the singing and dancing and cool costumes...sigh. Then we booked it to Janna's afterwards, which was the first time seeing her in a year! Got to see all her Africa pictures, very cool. I'm honestly surprised you're not in more of a funk, janna..I know I would be. Or maybe you're funking over something or someone else, so your Africa funk isn't as bad. That's my theory. Then I ran into Brynne and Janna on my lunchbreak (Janna overload, I know :P) lol. They were nice enough to sit with me and watch me eat lol all in all a very good day..very boring day at work though. I did talk to the cutest little old lady I've ever met though! Oh I could've eaten her up, she was SO cute. And so friendly. Unfortunately the guy I'm SO sure is Matthew Ewashko didn't come in today to pick up more knives like he said he was going to-maybe he'll come in tomorrow, so I can embarrass myself by finding out he's totally not who I think he is. Yeah. Worship team practice tomorrow, woot! And Rob FINALLY has a sunday off, so he can come to church with me! Second sunday he's had off since we moved to Brandon, with the exceptions of weekends he gets off to go to wpg. So that'll be nice, people will be reminded as to who my other half is. Can't wait till payday, my cheque's gonna be niiiice. Only because my last one was tinily pathetic (tinily? tiny-ly?) so it's making up for it. And I darn well better get 7.60 on it, minimum wage has gone up, darn it! I havn't gotten it on the last two cheques, but I keep telling myself that's because they're paying me for the hours I worked before min wage went up. Well, no excuses any more, I'll be spitting mad if I don't get my extra ten cents an hour!!! (thats right, spitting. Huck ptewy.) Those people are dirty too...I was 4 months overdue for my raise, and they finally gave me one..two weeks before the min wage went up. Cheap!!! But what can I do? They did give me a raise, even though it was almost half a year late (grumble grumble) I pity anyone who's read all this, because there's absolutely nothing in here worth reading-I should go to bed, my brain's going a mile a minute. As this post goes to show. Rob bought me 4 cream eggs when he went grocery shopping today. Yum ^_^ Yeah, I'm working hard to make money, and while I'm working , he goes and spends it. Just kidding though-I was taking pickles for lunch ..we needed groceries lol. Stop reading now, do something useful! Or even worth while! Arrrg I need sleep..............

Real Life Drama

Because Brad's brother died recently, Rob's been forced to take over Brad's shifts for an undertermined amount of time. So from now on he works 12-8, which isn't terrible since I mostly work till 9:30. But! I got thursday off, and we were going to leave for Strath after Rob got off work at 4. But now if he works till 8..? We can't go! So he's going to ask his boss if he can work till 6 or something that day. So I'm crossing my fingers his boss will be sypathetic, seeing as we had these plans for weeks, and it corresponded with his normal workdays before Brad dropped out. If not, I'll have to take Cody. Now, don't get me wrong, I have nothing against Cody, no offence to you dude, but.....you're so not Rob. So cross you fingers for me, and hope Rob catches his boss in a good mood.

Easter Weekend

Yay!! After working 7 days straight, I finally get a day off!! Yeah I know it's no big deal, Rob does it all the time..but for little old lazy Sarah? Comon people. Anyways, the only reason I had to work all week was both because it's approaching Easter, so we're required to have more people on per day, AND because Linsey was writing her exams this week, leaving the other 3 of us to cover the normal and extra hours. I couldn't believe it either, she tried to get out of working today! When she didn't show up at 1:30, I called her. She claimed she didn't know she was supposed to work today, and because she didn't know, she didn't want to have to come in. I was a little ticked about that...we've covered all week for her. So now she complains about having to come in for a shift that she was scheduled to work? I think not. Get your butt to work, just like the rest of us. Anyways, that's my work rant for today. That and Ellen was an hour late, even though she called 1/2 hour ahead and said she'd be late because she was stuck behind a train. She's used the train excuse before. I just don't even care any more. Okay, work rant complete. This coming thursday, we're going out to Strath to see the drama production, Joseph and the Technicolored Dreamcoat, or something along those lines. SO psyched!! Yup. Today we bought one of those standing, over-the-toilet cabinets from Walmart. Little on the expensive side, but real purdey. Rob's had to fight to make it fit though-it's like a milimeter too wide, eep! But he's a smart one, he got it to work. Anyways, we rented a game from BB and the guys are waiting on me. Gotta run :)
p.s. Select paperbacks at Value Village sell for .33 cents plus tax. Forbidden Flavors (The Ice Cream/Used Book Store on 18th) apparently buys paperbacks for $3.00 a piece, with which you can use towards ice cream purchases, coffee, or store credit. So, since I have a dozen books I bought from VV that I'm done with, I think I'll wander down to FF :P

Sub Shop

So, me being the wonderful daughter, am going to Strath to run the sub shop for mom on my only day off for 8 days. Aren't I great? I know. Rob and I are going to hold down the fort while they go to Regina for a Baptist Union meeting. We also get to bring Lisa back with us to spend the night, as the parents won't be back till Saturday night. As to where she spends the night is up to her-Tina offered to take her for the night because they have more room, but for that very reason, they've had her bout half a dozen nights, and we've never had her spend the night. I bought a few things from work for Lisa-things I've been eyeing that I knew she'd like. I'm such a suck lol. And for a work rant, today I put up ALL the wood framed pictures - an entire day's job, since there is lots and they're VERY heavy. And I also totally redid the Wheelie Shoe section because Colleen couldn't get it to work for her. Ellen? Did a run to the bank to get change. That's ALL the work she did today! There's still some boxes of stock from more than a week ago, when we got the 55 boxes. Arrrg. Anyways, that's all the complaining I'll do for now. Rob and I bought a new chair..not a recliner, just a comfy chair. Like a recliner that doesn't recline :) It doesn't exactly match the rest of our interior (it's kinda goldy) but it was only $20 at Value Village! A steal, since it's in perfect condition (and it doesn't even smell :P) We also got the expansion to Starcraft for $5 :D That was a good deal too. Anyways, gotta run, I'm going to install it now! Hope you all had as good of a day as I've had. Yeah, it's been pretty good.
