I've Got Mail

SO! Not only did Lisa and my bridesmaid dresses come in yesterday (they look fabulous, by the way) but I also got the blank Postsecret postcards from Frank, the dude that runs www.postsecret.blogspot.com (notice he's also a fellow blogger lol) Anyways, he's asked me and 9 others to be part of a kind of trial discussion group, as we're the first 10 to request postsecret postcards to pass out to friends. I'm tres excited about that :) pretty swanky deal. And my fingers are healing very ...funnily. LOL if that's such a word. For all you out there that dont know, i burned my fingers at work yesterday (VERY BADLY OWIE) and on the places where i burned my fingers, i burned my fingerprints off heehee so there's like a little bald smooth spot. Very funny. But it was VERY painful yesterday. Now its not so bad. Anyways, toooooodles and ta ta!

My poor "chops"!!!

OW my mouth!! It hurts!! The whole entire time I was there I wanted to run home and put on my retainer..after like 8 hours of solid playing, I swear I could feel my teeth moving every time I put my piccolo to my mouth. Yeah, and I'm on piccolo for every single song because guess what? I'm the only one!! I am the ONLY one playing my part. Ever. So needless to say it's been a challenge. But after our flute sectionals today I stayed behind for a couple mins to go over some piccolo parts with the flute instructor, and that cleared it all up. Yay :) And Rob will be here in like an hour or two, so yay :) lol the conductor kept calling our mouths "chops", it was funny. And you'd think that sitting and playing is not hard work, but I came home and like my legs gave out from underneath me, I was THAT exhausted. I've never been this tired in my life. So I'm just going to laze until Rob gets here. And hun, if I told you what I put on my postcard, it wouldn't be a secret, now would it? It's supposed to be something no one else knows :P but maybe if you send in one too I might give you some hints or something. : )
p.s. Doncha just love this gross salmon color? Hey, its better than poopy brown and pukey mustard yellow that I've used before. Be happy.

Send a Secret

Okay, so here's the deal. There's a blog called PostSecret, and what goes on is that people write or draw their biggest secret, and then send it to the blogger. The blog owner then scans and posts all the secrets postcards they've received in the last week. It's SO awesome, some of the secrets are kinda creepy. But it's definetly worth the time to check every sunday. And since I emailed the maker of the site asking for blank secret postcards, you're all going to get a chance to take part. Don't worry, no names are posted. ;) So I'll hand them out to you all when I get them in the mail :D

Sorry phat girl, but I didn't draw that second picture. Thank you for thinking so :D but I'm not that talented. Hoorah, Westman Honor Band on friday and saturday. Who's pumped? Uh huh thats right its ME! :) There's a lot of solos in that one song, but they're all on flute. I hope I play flute for that song. Me wantums solos.

No time to Blog

No time to practice flute, no time to work on piano song, no time to blog, no time to eat, no time to relax, no time to breathe! All my time is spent either with homework, or work, or in school, or organizing my time between all the things that I wish I had more time to do. Make sense? Ok. Well I felt I should include some pictures in this post, no idea why, we'll say it's because I feel guilty for the (still) lack of postage. Here's the Medusa pic I did for the Roman installation section of our (joke of an) art show. (Stupid timeconsuming snakes..I'll never draw another snake as long as I live. What was I thinking?!)

Aaaand for your special viewing pleasure, I'm gonna put this one up as well. As a show of how much I want the new Drizzt book! The LAST one, I want to read it SOOO badly!

Yes so this is me, doing my blogging duty and posting so I don't have angry bloggers outside my door waving pitchforks and the like. I'm SO tired, I think last night was possibly the worst night's sleep I've ever had. Two nightmares in a row, both that woke me up! :S Crazytown. Anyways, gonna fail bio tomorrow, woohoo!
